Adding a Touch of Glam to Our Dresser

Hello friends!  I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE our Ikea Hemnes dressers as bedside tables on either side of our bed! And lately, I've been on a metallic gold spray paint kick, and the knobs on our dressers have been the latest victims.  :)

Here's a before picture...

Here's what you'll need:

  • Spray paint (I used the Krylon Colormaster Paint + Primer Metallic Gold.)

  • Screw driver

  • Old cardboard box, newspaper, drop cloth or something to protect your surface while you spray paint

Step One: Unscrew the knobs and place them on a protective surface.

Step Two: Spray paint the knobs all over, and watch how quickly your paint dries in about a minute or so!

Step Three: Screw the knobs back in place.

See? Easy peasy!

Here's the after pic...

Doesn't that look so much better!  I love spray paint!  It's cheap, dries super quickly...and the technology with the built-in primer is fantastic!

[Update:  After a year, the paint's still going strong, as you'll see in my post on our DIY, thrifted headboard transformed with chalkpaint!]

It's amazing what a little paint will do!  How have you used spray paint lately?  I'd love to hear from you!  Comment below, or stop by and say hey on Pinterest, Instagram, TwitterHomeTalk and Facebook.  It always makes my day to hear from my sweet readers!
