This post is in partnership with Cost Plus World Market…a brand I absolutely love! All opinions are my own. Please see full disclosure policy.
Today, we’re going to talk about fun gift ideas for that special, farmhouse-decor lover! You’re gonna love these items, but if you’re all done with your Christmas shopping, you might even want to pick some of these fun items up for your own farmhouse collection!
Last week, I stopped in at my local Cost Plus World Market, which is in Buford, GA. I actually made it just in time that day, because a rather large snow storm was just arriving! This view was just before I walked into the store…
Cost Plus World Market has such a vast assortment of beautiful and affordable farmhouse products. They’re one of my go-to sources for home decor…not only because their prices are spot on, but also because they’re well made and just lots of fun! I’d like to add that walking around the store is an inspiring adventure in and of itself. There’s always cheerful music playing, and the employees are very friendly.
The pieces that I’m about to list are my absolute favorites, and I have to add that they remind me of my sweet mama. She really loves fun accents for the kitchen that serve a dual purpose — pieces that add both a fun pop of flair AND serve as functional tools. These products below accomplish both of those purposes. 😉 One of the products that I’ll list below REALLY speaks to me about my mom. Read below to find out which one!
Let’s take a look at some farmhouse decor gifts under $25! For your convenience, I’ve listed the location of each item, so that when you browse your local Cost Plus World Market, you can easily find these products!
Galvanized Cake Stand — It comes in 3 different sizes and would not only look great displaying yummy food for holiday parties, but you could also use it throughout the year to add height variety for your decor. You can find this stand in the kitchen section, right next to the dish towels.
Pistachio Wood Salad Servers (Set of 2) — Aren’t these spoons so pretty?! There are lots of different types of wood spoons at Cost Plus World Market, so you’re sure to find one (or more!) spoons that’ll meet your needs and wishes. You’ll find these spoons on a tiered stand, close to the kitchen-storage section.
Mason Jar Accent Lamp Base — How adorable is this small light fixture? This mason-jar lamp really reminds me of my mama. Of the many important tidbits of wisdom she taught me growing up, one of those special tidbits for making an inviting home was to set a cozy ambiance using soft lighting. In the evenings, she made it a habit to leave a little lamp on in the kitchen (and other rooms in the house), in order to set a cozy and relaxing environment. (She still does that to this day! I’ve taken on that habit as well, and I love it!) You’ll find this lamp in the back of the store, next to the office accessories.
3-Tier Drying Rack — This classic rack is great for displaying your favorite mugs or tea cups! It’s easy to find in the store…You’ll see this piece in the cleaning supplies section for the kitchen.
Mango Wood Lidded Salt Cellar with Spoon — This cool set is so much fun. I especially love the little spoon that tucks into the lid AND the soft texture of the wood! Notice the other varieties of wood (and marble) tools in the pic below! Just as you walk into the store, turn left, and then you’ll see them lined up against the wall.
Mini Wooden Prep Bowls (set of 4) — These minis would look great stacked as a set on top of an open shelf or spread out on a platter for a party! These cuties can be found in the kitchen section of your local store.
Patisserie Glass Sign — The word “patisserie” actually refers to a French shop that sells pastries and cakes. Yummmm. This chippy, wall decor is a beautiful, farmhouse piece and would be such a pretty gift. Just as you walk into the store, turn right, and you’ll see this item in the art section of the store.
Black Villa Stripe Table Linen Collection — I can’t say enough compliments about this collection, because they’re all my favorites! I consider them to be definite staples in our home. You can use them as liners for a gift basket or make throw pillows or fabric garlands out of them…And of course, they’d look amazing with your farmhouse tablescape! You’ll find this collection in the linens department, which is right before the tables and chairs section.
This set not only comes in black, but also comes in red…perfect for the Christmas season!
Ceramic Bread Box with Wood Cutting Board — Y’all will love this bread box set! The lid fits snuggly on top of the cutting board, and this set would make a great, farmhouse accent in your home! This great piece can be found in the kitchen storage section of the store.
Of course, you can’t forget about Cost Plus World Market’s vast array of beautiful gift wrap! Here are some fun, gift-wrap ideas that will top off your farmhouse gift. The wrapping is just as important as what’s inside the box! It’s like jewelry for an outfit.
Red and White Striped Tissue Paper (Set of 2) — This ticking-style tissue paper is the perfect liner for your farmhouse gift basket. You’ll find this paper in the middle of the store, in a kiosk such as in the pic above.
Black Ticking Stripe Woven Ribbon — This ribbon would look so cute tied into a bow on the basket handles…or tied around some brown cardstock gift wrap! As I mentioned earlier, you’ll find this beautiful ribbon in the middle of the store, in the kiosk such as in the pic above.
Ombre Bottle Brush Trees — In addition to decorating with these cuties around your home, tuck these little beauties into the gift basket as filler….Or using some twine, tie a tree to a wrapped box.
Natural Excelsior — This basket filler is made of shredded wood chips and comes in 2 sizes. It could also be used beneath soaps, fruit or candy. You’ll find this filler on the right side of the store, just as you enter.
Wire Farmhouse Basket — This wooden-handled basket is just one of the many different types of baskets Cost Plus World Market sells. And the price is great! This gift basket kit comes with cellophane, filler and a gift tag! It can also be found next to the excelsior…on the right side of the store, just as you enter.
Here are some of the farmhouse items that I chose to use in my gift basket:
It’s super easy to “wrap!” I used one of the 4 napkins as a liner, and then added the excelsior on top of the napkin to act as a filler.
And here’s another fun gift idea…Using cellophane from Cost Plus World Market’s gift wrap section, tuck some excelsior filler in at the bottom and tie some pretty Cost Plus World Market ribbon around the top!
Or here’s another fun idea….Pick up a beautiful lamp shade from Cost Plus World Market’s huge assortment of shades and add it to the beautiful Mason Jar Lamp base! Use cellophane and some pretty tissue paper (both from Cost Plus World Market), and voila! You have another beautiful gift!
And lastly, here’s another fun gift idea….I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but Cost Plus World Market’s assortment of fun, feedsack-style ribbon is fab! There are lots of different choices, too! I took 4 more villa striped napkins and used them as the filler and padding for this super-cute bread box!
And of course, the Christmas tree ribbon is the perfect finishing touch!
There you have it. Several gift ideas that are both affordable AND beautiful! But shhh….Don’t tell my mama that she’s getting these gifts for Christmas!
