Sponsors for the Farmhouse Build with Cottages and Bungalows Magazine

Hey friends!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Don’t forget to come find me on InstagramFacebook and Pinterest.....I'll continue to post new pics of our home and how-tos on all of our favorite projects around our new farmhouse! Also, I'd like to say a special "thank you" to Cottages and Bungalows for this awesome opportunity...to Jickie Torres (the C&B editor) for working with us faithfully throughout the year and making sure all the brands got mentioned in each article...and to Julie Hale for finding such amazing partners...and to the whole C&B team for the tireless effort and creative questions asked to make fun and interesting articles for every issue!! Woohoo! We couldn't have done it without them!

********************************************

So guess what?!  We are almost to the finish line of crazy schedules and pulling our hair out with the farmhouse build.  Haha!  Building a house is not for the faint of heart, which we'd heard a lot from others, but didn't fully understand until we were actually going through it ourselves.  Tack onto that one of the craziest weather seasons EVER, along with deadlines for the magazine, and you've got yourselves one BIG opportunity for growth...spiritually, emotionally and physically!  I'm happy to say though that we made it to the other side still married and still alive...hee hee. It was by the grace of God, much prayer and lots of support and help from family and friends.  We feel so blessed and thankful for this incredible journey we've been on for the past year!

On that note, our steel-frame farmhouse was sponsored by some amazing brands, and we are SO THANKFUL for every one of them!

I've compiled this list for your reference. I know some of you are considering building your home as well, and I can tell you that these partners would be amazing brands to work with for your home!

This view is from our daughter's bedroom looking into her bathroom. The concrete tiles from make such a beautiful statement. The DIY, white concrete countertop was a fun project that my hubby and I did together. The drapery panel is simply some scrap mudcloth that we picked up at an antiques fair.

I'd always wanted these concrete tiles in our home, and they look amazing in our powder bathroom! A dear friend of mine gave me that gorgeous, antique sink! There were a couple of scuff marks on it, so I just touched it up using some chalkboard paint. The old, wooden shelf is actually from a crate that I had my hubby cut in half. It was a $3 yard sale puchase!

This pantry door is actually from a set of French doors....The other door is in our master bedroom! The doors came from an old general store from the 1800s, and it was located just down the road from us, in a little town called Broughton, GA. We had the glass insert made, along with the vinyl "Pantry" wording.

The back porch right outside our master bedroom. We're continuing to add more accents (such as a roof, dining area and rocking chairs) to this space, so stay tuned!

This pic was taken halfway through our build journey. I love the old, weathered fence that once surrounded the previous owner’s goat farm!

As you can see, we were so blessed to partner with some amazing companies, and we're extremely thankful for their support! I’ll continue to post pics of our home on my Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and the blog, so be sure to follow along with us!
