DIY Wrapping Paper Letters
Hey friends! Today, I'd like to share with you how to make wrapping paper letters. This diy project is so quick and easy, and it will take just a few minutes from start to finish!
But before I begin, I wanted to remind you to follow along with me on Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, HomeTalk and Facebook so that you don't miss another post. ;)
Let's begin!
Supplies:
your favorite wrapping paper
mod podge
foam brush
chipboard letters
x-acto knife
optional items: paper plate, ribbon, hot glue gun and glue stick
First, after setting up your protective surface (i.e. a paper plate, which is optional), cut a small piece of wrapping paper for your chipboard letter, making sure that the letter fits within the edges of the paper. The roll of paper that I chose is some birch-bark wrapping paper. ;)
Next, with your letter resting on the paper plate, gently brush some mod podge onto the top of the letter. Immediately place the paper onto the letter, smoothing out any air bubbles as you go.
Afterwards, brush more mod podge over the paper to seal it. Let the paper sit for a few minutes to insure that the glue dries on the paper.
Lastly, once the glue is dry (doesn't have to be completely dry), using your X-acto knife, carefully cut along the edges of the letter to remove any excess paper.
Optional: Hot glue coordinating ribbon to the back of your letter for hanging purposes.
You can use these diy letters in so many ways, such as gift tags, gallery-wall art, or on the front of a handmade card....The list could go on and on and on! But of course, you could also use these pretty accessories as an addition to your stocking decor, as you see in my pics! ;) The great thing is that this project is great for ANY season!
