DIY Geometric Pots using Thrifted Finds

Today, I'd like to share with you how I made these fun and trendy tribal pots. They're such a cute addition to your plants, and these cool stencil patterns will take your pots to a whole other level! ;)
Here's what you'll need:
stencil (I used the Array of Arrows stencil by Americana.)
terra cotta pot (or any pot with a smooth finish)
wooden, foam brush or pouncer
white chalk paint in "everlasting" (Americana Decor line by DecoArt)
black chalk paint in "carbon" (Americana Decor line by DecoArt)
paper plate (optional)

Here's a collection of pots that I've gathered from Home Depot, the Dollar Tree and various thrift stores. Recently, I did a Facebook Live video on different ways to give a little oomph to pots, and these geometric pots that I'm talking about today were in this video tutorial. Okay, let's get started! Begin by painting your entire pot white, and let it completely dry. Next, choose which arrow stencil you'll use, cut it out and then tape it to the pot.
Pour a small amount of black paint onto your paper plate. Dab the brush into the paint, and then dab it onto the plate to get rid of any excess paint. Now, carefully dab the paint over the stencil, making sure that you cover the entire design that you want on your pot. Right when you're finished, go ahead and remove the stencil and wash the paint off the stencil and dry it, so that it's ready for your black pots with the white stencil. ;)
I need to point out that stenciling the arrows isn't a project you should do when you're in a hurry. It takes a little time and patience. Just a heads up. ;) However, I really love these pots and plan to make lots more soon!
